Helga brings twenty years of architectural experience to her projects.  She received her Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Design in 1987 from the University of California at Berkeley.  She has been a Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) member since 1994 and is currently a member the San Diego CSI Chapter where she served on the Board from 2003-2004.  Helga lead the Specification Task Force for Gensler San Francisco from 1995-2000 as a Senior Associate.  She participated on the CSI National Specification Review Team (for SF CSI) in 1996, served on the SF CSI Board as Professional Director (1998-1999), and co-chaired both the Profair and Education (AIA Liaison) Committees (1997-1999), receiving the SF CSI Chapter Education Award in 1999. Helga has been a CSI Certified Construction Specifier since 1998.  She currently teaches certification courses for CSI.  She has been a member of Specification Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP) since 2001, serving as SCIP Secretary from 2004-2006.  She is currently an Alternate Member of the MASTERSPEC Architectural Review Committee (MARC) for the American Institute of Architects in Washington DC, where she served a three-year Funded Member term (2003-2005) for MARC.
